Role overview Description At Toradex, we drive innovation by delivering cutting‑edge embedded computing solutions to customers around the globe. We're looking for a Procurement Manager based in Singapore to support our headquarters in Switzerland in managing our suppliers and contract manufacturers in Asia. In this hands-on role, you act as the regional point of contact for our suppliers and contract manufacturers, working closely with the Supply Chain team at headquarters and other Toradex locations worldwide to keep sourcing and supply well-coordinated and supplier relationships strong.
We're looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on person with 5–10 years of experience. You are equally comfortable on the strategic side — supplier relationship management and procurement negotiations — and on the tactical side — placing and following up on orders and day-to-day sourcing work. You take ownership and move fluidly between the two areas, wherever it's most beneficial for the company, in close alignment with headquarters.
Roles & Responsibilities As Procurement Manager, you play a key role in supporting Toradex's sourcing and supplier management activities across Asia, in close alignment with headquarters.
Act as the first point of contact for Toradex's component suppliers and contract manufacturers in Asia
Support the sourcing of components in Asia, including placing and maintaining purchase orders
Maintain supplier relationships
Monitor and assess market trends and early signals in the Asian electronics supply chain (e.g. lead times, allocation, pricing) and share them with headquarters
Support the team at headquarters in Switzerland and other Toradex locations worldwide in managing and planning supply
Skills
5–10 years of experience in the electronics supply chain and procurement
Experience working with European and US companies; having worked for a European or US company before is a strong plus
Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with experience across strategic procurement and supplier relationship management as well as tactical purchasing (placing and following up on orders, sourcing)
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Fluent spoken Mandarin Chinese required; written Chinese preferred
