Position Overview :

The Plant NVH Technician supports manufacturing quality operations by performing vehicle evaluations, operating NVH testing equipment, collecting diagnostic data, and assisting with production issue investigations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring vehicles meet Noise, Vibration, and Harshness quality standards prior to customer delivery. The ideal candidate possesses strong automotive diagnostic experience, attention to detail, and the ability to identify vehicle quality concerns through both objective measurements and subjective evaluations.

Key Responsibilities :

Vehicle Evaluation & Testing

Perform EOL NVH inspections and evaluations on production vehicles.

Conduct subjective assessments of vehicle noise, vibration, and overall refinement.

Execute standardized NVH test procedures and quality checks.

Verify and document vehicle concerns identified by automated screening systems.

Data Collection & Diagnostics

Install and operate microphones, accelerometers, and related diagnostic equipment.

Collect vehicle data using SCADAS, Squadriga, and other acquisition systems.

Support engineering investigations through repeatable data collection and testing.

Assist in diagnosing airborne noise, vibration, and BSR concerns.

Production Support

Support vehicle containment and troubleshooting activities.

Assist engineering teams with root cause investigations.

Document findings and maintain accurate records of test results.

Support launch, pilot, and production validation activities.

Equipment Maintenance

Maintain NVH testing equipment and work areas.

Perform routine equipment inspections and calibration verification.

Identify and report equipment issues.

Ensure testing equipment remains operational and compliant with established procedures.

Documentation & Reporting

Record test results accurately and completely.

Maintain issue tracking and investigation documentation.

Prepare summaries and supporting materials for engineering review.

Support production trend monitoring and data management activities.

Skills :

Strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to identify abnormal vehicle noises and vibrations.

Experience in operating measurement and diagnostic equipment.

Familiarity with microphones, accelerometers, and data acquisition systems.

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Ability to follow standardized procedures and work instructions.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Basic computer and data management skills.

Minimum Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent.

6+ years of automotive manufacturing, quality, technician, diagnostic, or NVH-related experience.

Experience operating automotive tests or diagnostic equipment.

Ability to safely operate vehicles and conduct repeatable evaluations.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including walking, standing, and driving vehicles throughout the shift.

Willingness to support launch activities and changing production priorities.

Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
