*Job Overview* Matani Home Care Services Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable Health Care Aide to provide in-home care for a client in *SW Calgary*. This position requires availability *every Sunday and one additional Saturday each month*.
The ideal candidate will be committed to the client?s well-being, have excellent communication skills, and provide respectful, personalized support that promotes comfort, dignity, and independence. *Applicants must be able to commit consistently to this schedule.*
*Duties*
* Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance * Support patients with meal preparation and feeding as needed * Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, * Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. * Monitor patient health status, report changes to healthcare professionals, and document care provided * Support patients with activities tailored to their individual needs.
*Experience*
* Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is preferred * Experience working with seniors, individuals with dementia, or those requiring hospice care is highly valued * Background in caregiving, nursing assistance, or related healthcare fields is advantageous * Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing skills is beneficial * Experience in caregiving roles involving heavy lifting, mobility assistance, or working with people with disabilities is desirable
This position requires a caring attitude, patience, physical stamina for tasks such as heavy lifting, and the ability to work effectively. Candidates should be committed to providing respectful and compassionate care while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene.
Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
