About this role
Keewatin Place is looking for a friendly and dependable *Bakery / Deli Clerk* to join our team. We are hiring for both *part-time and full-time positions*, with daytime, evening, and weekend shifts available.
This is a great opportunity for *high school students looking for part-time evening and weekend work*, as well as adults looking for part-time or full-time employment.
Responsibilities
* Provide friendly and helpful customer service in the Bakery and Deli departments * Slice deli meats for customers * Prepare sandwiches and other deli items * Slice fresh bread for customers * Package and label bakery products, including breads, buns, cookies, squares, and other baked goods * Stock and merchandise bakery and deli products * Keep displays organized, full, and presentable * Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of work areas, equipment, counters, and department surfaces * Follow proper food-handling and food-safety procedures * Assist with other Bakery and Deli duties as required
Availability
We are currently looking for applicants interested in *part-time or full-time hours*.
* Daytime and evening shifts are available * *Evening and weekend availability is required* * Part-time positions are well suited to high school students * Full-time opportunities are available for applicants with daytime flexibility
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
* Friendly and comfortable serving customers * Reliable and punctual * Able to work independently and as part of a team * Willing to learn * Comfortable working in a fast-paced grocery store environment * Able to maintain a clean and organized work area
Previous bakery, deli, grocery, or food-service experience is an asset, but *not required. Training will be provided.*
