UCT is looking for a talented Technician II to join us in Malaysia!

The Technician II performs key manufacturing processes—including degreasing, pickling, passivation, electropolishing, and washing—to produce high‑quality products that meet strict specifications. This role ensures accurate production output, on‑time delivery, and adherence to safety, cleanliness, and work protocols. The Technician II identifies abnormalities, supports shift handovers, trains new team members, and contributes to continuous improvement to maintain efficient, reliable operations.

An Assembly Technician II assembles and tests products according to specifications, troubleshoots assembly issues, supports process improvements, and assists in maintaining production equipment to ensure manufacturing targets are achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of products according to engineering specifications, SOPs, and work instructions.

• Operate, set up, and maintain production equipment to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and minimize downtime.

• Conduct quality inspections and verify product requirements, ensuring compliance with quality and customer standards.

• Support process improvement initiatives, root cause investigations, and corrective actions to enhance productivity and yield.

• Train and guide operators on assembly processes, safety practices, and quality requirements while supporting daily production targets.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• Able to work independently

• Able to read engineering drawings.

• Able to speak and write simple English

• Able to read and interpret SOP and Work Instructions.

• Team player with good problem-solving skills

• Basic computer literacy.

• 2-3 years working in machine shop, metal industry. Semi-Conductor and/or similar industry

Education, Certifications, Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering, Technical Studies, Manufacturing, or related field.

• Relevant technical certification is an added advantage.

• Minimum 2 years of assembly or manufacturing experience.

• Able to read and follow SOPs, work instructions, and technical documents.

• Willing to work shifts, overtime, and in a cleanroom/manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing or cleanroom production environment.

• Required to follow safety, quality, and cleanroom procedures.

• May require shift work, overtime, and weekend support as needed.

• Frequent use of production equipment, tools, and inspection devices.

• Requires standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
