SUMMARY:
The Senior Benefits and Leave Specialist is responsible for assisting in the administration of employee benefits and managing leave requests/accommodations requiring specialized attention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Assists the Benefits & Leave Operations Manager in reviewing benefit plan designs and makes recommendations to further enhance offerings
• Assists with the tracking/managing of leave and accommodation cases to ensure proper care and considerations are given
• Serves an additional point of contact for benefits team and leave team requests that require escalation and/or further review.
• Performs Benefits Specialist and Leave Administrator duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related field preferred and five years benefits and/or leave administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Word or related software. Excellent oral and written skills preferred. Strong organizational skills required.
This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to write effective letters, memos, speeches. and articles for publication. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from staff members at all levels, guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
