The Forks is a fast-paced, fun, and welcoming environment that is community-oriented, collaborative, and innovative. The 52-acre site is an all-season gathering space in downtown Winnipeg featuring local retail shops, a wide variety of food vendors, as well as must-see historical and cultural places and programming. We are looking for individuals who share a love for building community-focused shared spaces that offer a positive visitor experience for everyone.
As part of the Eco Team, Overnight Cleaners will work with the Operations Department to support the upkeep of The Forks Market. These folks will work with a small overnight cleaning team, ensuring the Market is clean, organized, and ready to welcome visitors bright and early in the morning. The Eco Team Overnight Cleaner is someone who will:
• Execute proper operating procedures of floor machines, ensuring The Forks Market floors are cleaned and maintained on a nightly basis.
• Ensure the Market is clean and ready to welcome visitors when they arrive in the morning.
• Be responsible for cleaning the Travel Manitoba office (also on site), including but not limited to, dusting, sanitizing, and maintaining overall cleanliness of that space.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors, ensuring a comprehensive approach to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the designated areas.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored at the end of each shift.
• Report any issues observed during overnight shifts to their supervisor, in a timely manner.
The Eco Team Overnight Cleaner is someone who:
• Is able to work independently and can manage their time effectively to ensure tasks are completed within specified time frames.
• Is highly organized with strong attention to detail and is dedicated to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Has physical stamina, which includes the ability to work eight hours on their feet, move at a fast pace for most of the shift, walk up and down stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Is a clear communicator and supportive team member, willing to help others when needed.
• Is available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
