The Bartender is primarily responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring all service meets Club standards.
Pay Rate: $16.00/hr
Essential Functions of the Job
• Mixes, prepares and serves drinks according to Club recipes and standards. • Maintains records of liquor, beer, wine, cigars and sundries to ensure sufficient stock is maintained. • Prepares garnishes for drinks. • Stocks glassware, paper products and ice. • Secures all alcoholic beverages and products upon the end of a shift. • Prepares accurate orders as designated by the Point of Sale system. • Practices safe service of alcohol to avoid overserving patrons. • Performs all opening and closing duties assigned by the Restaurant Supervisor or Beverage Supervisor. • Maintains, cleans and secures all beverage service areas and bars in accordance with established procedures. • Ensures that all safety, accident, sanitation and emergency policies are in place and consistently observed. • Reports any violations to leadership. • Greets and directs all members, players, caddies and patrons in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintains the confidentiality of all Club business. • Demonstrates a commitment to upholding professional standards in the work environment. • Performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job. • Attends mandatory orientation and training sessions. • Required to work schedule as defined by department to include holidays, weekends and overtime as needed. Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge/Attributes (required unless stated otherwise)
• Augusta National's practice requires candidates to be at least 18 years of age. • TIPS Certification preferred. • Experience required. • Knowledge of mixology terminology, products offered and beverage service techniques. • Displays interpersonal skills to work within a team environment. • Ability to work in conditions that may include heat, cold, rain or other adverse conditions. • Requires stooping, bending, lifting and transporting of objects up to 30 pounds. • Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. • Displays integrity and sincerity interacting with others.
