Position/Title: Assistant Manager – Accounts Department: 19 Finance & Accounts Employment Type: Full-time Shifts(if any): 2:00PM to 11:00PM (candidate should be flexible to work as per business requirement) Experience: 5+ years
About the Role: The Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance will be responsible for managing the general ledger, conducting monthly closing activities, ensuring timely book closure, and finalizing accounts. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enter financial data and transactions into general ledger and reconcile accounts with the general ledger • Prepare journal entries relating to leases, fixed assets, amortization, depreciation, prepaid, accruals, etc • Review financial documents for accuracy and reconcile accounts and financial statements • Enter regular payroll entries in accounting system • Oversee monthly intercompany accounting close activities to ensure proper elimination • Coordinate and execute the capitalization of software costs in accordance with applicable accounting standards • Maintaining finalization of GL trial balance • Generate and review monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports and ensure accuracy • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual close • Performing post closure activities • Assist other departments with accounting issues and queries, and collaborate with them to complete accurate data • Support external audits, ensure processes are adhered to as per documented processes • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies and regulations • Process improvement – identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements and implement best practices • Work closely with other finance teams such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Tax, and Consolidation team to ensure a cohesive financial process • Support senior R2R Manager and the finance leadership in special projects as required
Requirements:
• Chartered Accountant with 2 to 3 years working experience in GL accounting and reporting OR • Inter – CA or post graduate with 5 to 10 years working experience in GL accounting and reporting • Must be familiar with general accounting, having good understanding of accounting standards, proficient in spreadsheet, and be able to work in teams or work alone under self-direction • Good communication skills since the candidate will be working with other team members located in U.S., Philippines, Gautemala and India • Experience of SAP and working in BPO/KPO or any service industry will be preferable If you’ve got the skills to succeed and the motivation to make it happen, we look forward to hearing from you.
