How you'll contribute A Surgical Technician who excels in this role:

• Prepares the surgical suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies; ensures equipment and instruments are in good working order

• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients

• Passes instruments to physicians during surgery and continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies

• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory

• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education

• Provides qualify patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed

• Maintains regular and reliable attendance

• Performs other duties as assigned

Additional Information

• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.

• Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.

• Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present.

• Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

What we're looking for EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Graduate of a surgical technology program

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE :

• BLS preferred
