The Director will oversee all aspects of the Diagnostic Imaging Department and the Interventional Services Department. These duties include, but are not limited to: coordinating patient flow through the departments, performing various duties during procedures, monitoring staff utilization, providing leadership functions in relation to completion of assignments. Reviews, monitors and implements department protocols to assure compliance with State, Federal and Hospital regulations. Provides input and feedback concerning performance and evaluation issues. Ensures good working relationships between staff and physicians.
1. Ensures quality care for all patients in all modalities of Imaging Services and Interventional Services.
2. Ensures Standards of Care are met consistently by staff and physicians.
3. Ensure compliance with clinical regulatory, licensing and accreditation agencies.
4. Ensure quality outcomes and performance improvement.
5. Develop departmental goals, policies and procedures.Responsible for the interpretation, dissemination and enforcement of policies.
6. Ensure and document competency of staff.
7. Interview, hire, train, counsel and if necessary, recommend termination of personnel.
8. Conduct performance appraisals on staff as dictated by policy.
9. Ensure the quality and maintenance of equipment.
10. Work collaboratively with both the Imaging Services Medical Director and the Interventional Services Medical Director, management, peers and staff.
11. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Professionally licensed in one or more imaging modalities
2. Acute care and hospital experience required
3. Supervisory experience preferred
4. CRT
5. ARRT preferred
6. Must be able to work weekends and varying shifts
