Department: Lab - Cardiovascular
Reporting to the Director of Cardiology, the Cardiology Review Nurse is a clinical expert who is responsible for ensuring that the database of the American College of Cardiology is complete for each eligible patient who has had a cardiac catheterization, cardiac intervention and/or insertion of an implantable cardioverter defibrillator. The employee in this position is responsible to develop methods to facilitate the completion of the required data fields of the American College of Cardiology, to assure accurate reporting of the data to the Tenet selected software, develop protocols to assist the facility and physicians in said task, performance improvement activities and educational presentations. The Cardiology Review Nurse ensures quality and consistency through planning; communication, critical thinking and facilitation of the multi-disciplinary patient care team.
Minimum Experience/Skills: Five years of cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology or critical care experience preferred. License/Certificates/Credentials: Current California RN License. Physical Demands: Frequent sitting. Reaching, standing, walking, twisting, bending, manual dexterity and mobility. Touch, auditory and visual perception and acuity. Adequate vocal pitch and volume of voice. Ability to move quickly. Lift/position up to 25 lbs. Push/pull up to 25 lbs of force. #LI-KB6
