RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides direction for the consolidated Financial Accounting function at INTEGRIS Health. Ensures all financial accounting activities deliver accurate and compliant information to various stakeholders, including support for the annual external audit and tax preparation for all business units. Oversees accounting analysis for CFOs and Department Directors, the monthly closing process, reconciliation completion with certification, and other material accounting matters. The Director's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Maintains a strong working knowledge of GAAP, including FASB Pronouncements, IFRS, federal, state, IRS, and local tax regulations, as well as other compliance areas related to financial and lease accounting. • Provides US GAAP interpretation and technical memoranda/accounting solutions for transactional events, including their impact on financial statements. • Controls financial accounting and ensures GAAP compliance across all INTEGRIS Health business units. • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including debt compliance and internal/external financial accounting. • Supervises reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts (over 500 accounts) and ensures major system feeds from billing, accounts payable, payroll, and Foundation are properly integrated from both an accounting and internal control perspective. Oversees quarterly certification of accounts to the CFO. • Directs year-end audits for all business units in collaboration with external auditors, with the goal of achieving an unqualified opinion. Audits include financial, pension, 401(k)/403(b), and internal audits. • Analyzes financial performance to support management in maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing monthly budget variances. • Consults with INTEGRIS Health professionals and external advisors regarding optimal structuring of business initiatives. • Develops methods to monitor workflow and ensure customer needs are met accurately, timely, and professionally. • Ensures effective management of departmental staff, including hiring, performance and competency evaluations, and conducting disciplinary or counseling sessions as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience • Minimum of 3 years of healthcare industry experience • Minimum of 3 years supervisory or management experience • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS required • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations required EDUCATION
