Job Req ID 13336 Closing Date 23 October 2026 OME Sasolburg and Natref Operations Location Durban | Kwazulu Natal (Natref Durban Operations) Purpose of Job Responsible for the control and supervision of security personnel on their shift, executing effective access/egress control and, to protect the company assets against terrorist activities, sabotage, espionage and or subversion, attacks, resulting in loss, damage, disruption or immobilisation of its facilities, in order for the company to achieve its profit growth. To also safeguard, information and personnel, interact with people and operate security equipment and execute security functions within the ambit of the law and company policies and procedures. This is done through monitoring of the facilities and implementing effective Security operations and determining key actions. Key Accountabilities Ensure effective control over contract Security staff for the duration of their shift. Execute effective control room operations and services. Monitors inspect and reports on physical security infrastructure. Act as representative of the owner after hours in terms of NKP Act 102 of 1980. Ensure compliance to NKP Security, Safety legislation and Sasol standard. Ensure that all communication equipment is always serviceable and in good working condition and is continuously availability. Initiate and coordinate Security and Emergency response to incidents and other detrimental aspects and initiate call out procedures. Maintain effective control over the issuing and the return of all portable and mobile equipment including firearms and effective key Control. Report all transgressions, incidents accidents or deviations and misconduct to Chief Security Officer before the end of each shift. Monitor and respond to alarms, ascertain status, check for faults and rectify and or report promptly. Recording of activities in prescribed registers and occurrence book and mmaintain control of such registers and files and inspect and update when necessary. Ensure a disciplined workforce, by enforcing company rules and regulations and take corrective action where necessary in accordance with company disciplinary process. Ensure proper communication in respect of instruction, standing orders and information for the duration of their shift and conduct inspection parade when shift commencing duty. Arrange and control perimeter and internal patrols and issue specific duties for patrols. Undertake inspection patrols on site and complete checklists and inspection sheets. Carry out Security Control Systems 24-hour monitoring of (alarms, CCTV, vehicle and tracking systems) and ensure system are fully operational. and act as per instruction if detrimental activity is detected during monitoring. Conduct crime management services. Report to Chief Security with all relevant registers and occurrence book for inspection when on day shift during normal working hours. Formal Education Grade 12 or equivalent (must) Certificate/Diploma: Security Management or equivalent (advantage) Driver’s license Code 08 (must) Work Experience 3+ Years total Security/ relevant experience Advanced system specific Training (Intruder detection, CCTV systems and electric fences. (Advantage.
