Position Title: Data Quality Engineer Job Summary: The Data Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Bank's data quality controls, monitoring capabilities, and remediation processes to ensure that enterprise data remains accurate, complete, consistent, timely, and fit for business and regulatory use. The Data Quality Engineer supports the Bank's data governance strategy by operationalizing the data quality frameworks, rules, metrics, and validation processes. Role Exposure: Data Quality Governance and Compliance: Operationalization of the Bank's enterprise data quality management framework, standards, methodologies, and procedures that ensure consistent execution of data quality management practices across the Bank Delivery and maintenance of data governance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide visibility on the adherence to data governance policies, control standards and processes Data Quality Controls, Monitoring and Reporting: Implementation and maintenance of data quality controls, validation rules, and monitoring mechanisms across critical data assets that ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity, and integrity Delivery and maintenance of data quality rules, metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide visibility into data quality performance and support management decision-making Critical Data Element (CDE) Quality Management: Establishment, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of data quality requirements for Critical Data Elements and other key business data that support business objectives, and regulatory compliance Data Quality Issue Management, Remediation, and Continuous Improvement: Timely resolution and remediation of data quality issues by driving accountable units to identify, assess, prioritize, and address data defects through structured tracking, monitoring, and cross-functional coordination, thereby minimizing business, operational, and regulatory impacts. Prevention of recurring issues and continuous improvement in data quality outcomes through driving accountable units to identify root causes, implement and sustain corrective and preventive actions, and strengthen data quality controls and processes. Stakeholder Engagement and Support Adherence and accountability to data governance policies and effective data quality practices throughout the enterprise data lifecycle through collaboration with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Custodians, business units, and technology teams. Provide guidance and subject matter expertise on data quality requirements and controls. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field Master’s degree and/or Data Governance certification preferred At least 3 years of experience in data management, data quality, analytics, business intelligence, or related fields Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries is an advantage Knowledge of data quality management, data governance frameworks, and data lifecycle concepts (e.g., DMBOK) Proficient in SQL, data analysis, profiling, validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis Familiarity with metadata management, data lineage, and master data management Understanding of data-related regulatory and risk management requirements Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills Ability to translate technical findings for both technical and non-technical audiences High integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical data management Strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence Other Details: Unit: FCS/EDMGD/EDGD Rank: Junior Officer Office Location: Metrobank Center, BGC
