JBS Pork Australia has approximately 1400 employees spread across our three processing facilities as well as multiple farms and feed mills across Victoria and New South Wales. About the Role JBS Pork Australia – Farming Team are currently recruiting a Production Supervisor to support the team at our Pyramid Hill site. This full-time position will be responsible for supervising production employees and working closely with the Module / Site Manager in regards to the day-to-day management of the site. Key Responsibilities Supervise the day-to-day tasks of piggery employees. Undertake animal husbandry duties that require considerable judgement. Compile / interpret production records and prepare regular progress reports. Provide leadership to Piggery Employees to ensure production targets are achieved. Integrate maintenance works within production requirements. Coordinate the movement of livestock between sites and for market. Manage workload with respect to variations in staffing levels, environmental factors and weather conditions. Provide practical advice to employees, peers and management. Assist with staff rostering. Assist in the preparation of budgets (as required). Ensure Animal Welfare standards are adhered to at all times. Ensure production processes adhere to APIQ standards and any additional JBS Pork Australia standards as directed. Actively participate in both internal and APIQ audits (as required). Assume various responsibilities in the Manager’s absence (as directed). Ensure annual objectives / KPIs are regularly reviewed and met. Contribute to key business activities as required. Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes and work instructions at all times, and ensure all appropriate actions are taken to implement and monitor at a site level. Skills & Experience Certificate III in Agriculture (Pig Production) as a minimum. Thorough understanding of holistic pig production gained through extensive practical experience. Demonstrated ability to supervise people effectively. Sound knowledge of WH&S, Quality Assurance, and People & Culture procedures. Sound knowledge of Animal Welfare regulations. High level communication skills, initiative and strong attention to detail. Ability to promote a positive workplace culture and willingness to drive continual improvement in workplace processes. Effective time management skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Preparedness to work flexible hours. Intermediate computer skills. Current driver’s licence.
