Job Description The Maintenance Team Leader provides leadership and direction to maintenance and contractor teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance execution. This role supports asset integrity, reliability, compliance, and cost control while driving continuous improvement and alignment with site objectives. Responsibilities: Lead maintenance and contractor personnel in the safe execution of corrective, preventive, and reliability maintenance activities to maximize equipment performance and uptime. Coordinate daily maintenance execution with Maintenance Coordinators and Operations to prioritize work, minimize downtime, and support production targets. Ensure compliance with maintenance processes, scheduling requirements, work permits, lockout/tagout (LOTO), safety procedures, and applicable regulatory standards. Issue flawless work permits, including hot work, confined space entry, and line break. Develop, coach, and hold team members accountable for performance, safety, and adherence to company policies and procedures, including labor relations and disciplinary matters. Support maintenance planning and scheduling by providing execution input, resource requirements, and progress tracking for repair and project activities. Manage maintenance resources and contractors to ensure effective workforce utilization, productivity, and cost control. Promote efficient work execution by ensuring work orders, tools, materials, and job plans are available and properly coordinated. Conduct field observations and audits to verify safe work practices, work quality, productivity, and compliance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reliability, equipment performance, and maintenance effectiveness. Qualifications Minimum five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience required; eight (8) years preferred. Relevant education, technical training, certifications, and work experience may be considered in combination. Three (3) years of leadership, supervisory, or crew lead experience in an industrial environment preferred. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation. Working knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, equipment, and systems required to support plant operations. Experience using maintenance management systems; SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) experience preferred. Strong understanding of maintenance planning, work execution, safety procedures, and reliability improvement principles. Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladder, and push/pull up to 25. Work Environment: Chemical plant environment in operating units. PPE required. Must meet site medical and fit testing requirements. Support off-hours, turnarounds, and emergency work. Education High school diploma or GED Pay Range: $86,100.00 - $133,400 The salary range for this position is determined by considering a variety of factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and the location of the position.
