About the Associate, Climate Consulting Role: The Associate will support the delivery of climate and sustainability advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients. The primary focus of the role is carbon footprint calculations and supporting clients in understanding their emissions profile. The Associate will work closely with clients to gather and analyse data, communicate findings, and help deliver high-quality presentations and workshops. The role requires a combination of technical analytical skills and strong client facing capabilities to ensure projects are delivered effectively and professionally. Approximately 20% of the role will be dedicated to supporting business development activities through proposal administration, including coordinating proposal submissions, maintaining proposal content, and supporting the preparation of client facing documents. Associate, Climate Consulting Accountabilities include: Carbon Accounting and Climate Advisory Conduct organisational carbon footprint assessments Collect, validate, and analyse emissions and activity data from clients Apply recognised standards and methodologies for GHG accounting. Prepare technical analysis, reports, presentations and recommendations for clients. Client Engagement and Delivery Liaise directly with clients to gather information and provide project updates Build positive and professional client relationships Support and deliver client presentations, workshops, and meetings Prepare clear and engaging client deliverables and presentation materials Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner Project Support Assist with project planning, coordination, and delivery Track project progress and ensure deliverables are completed to agreed timelines Maintain accurate project documentation and records Proposal and Business Development Administration Support the preparation, formatting, and submission of client proposals Coordinate proposal inputs from technical and commercial team members Maintain proposal templates and supporting content Assist with business development administration and reporting Attend, participate and contribute to conferences and training as required Ideal Characteristics: The ideal candidate will be an analytical, motivated and client focused individual with a strong interest in climate action and sustainability. They will have a good foundational understanding of greenhouse gas accounting and carbon footprint methodologies, supported by strong quantitative skills and confidence working with data in Microsoft Excel. They will be naturally curious and comfortable gathering, reviewing and validating information from different sources. With strong attention to detail, they will be able to identify inconsistencies, interpret trends and translate technical analysis into clear findings and practical recommendations. They will have an interest in how AI, data and emerging digital tools can be used to improve processes and efficiency. The successful candidate will also be a confident communicator who can build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues. They will be comfortable explaining technical or data-heavy information in an accessible way and contributing to client meetings, presentations and workshops. They will be organised, dependable and able to manage competing priorities across multiple projects while maintaining a high standard of accuracy. A collaborative team player, they will be willing to ask questions, respond constructively to feedback and take increasing ownership of their work as their experience develops. The role would suit someone who enjoys combining technical analysis with client engagement and who is also comfortable supporting proposal development and business development activities. Previous experience in carbon accounting or sustainability consulting would be beneficial, but a willingness to learn, take initiative and develop professionally is equally important.
