Join our caring team and help students feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes is seeking a compassionate, organised and proactive Student Welfare & Medical Support Coordinator. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to students’ daily lives, supporting their health and wellbeing and helping them participate fully in school life.

Reporting to the Pastoral Leader, you will lead day-to-day first aid provision, respond calmly to students’ medical needs and coordinate healthcare plans. You will maintain accurate, confidential medical records and work closely with colleagues, students and families to support a consistent approach to individual needs.

Alongside your medical responsibilities, you will provide practical welfare support, offering a reassuring presence for students who need help. You will also accompany agreed school trips and residential visits, assist with careers events and contribute to the administration that supports these activities.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with children or young people, strong organisation and communication skills, and a calm, sensitive approach. You will be able to manage competing priorities, handle confidential information with discretion and build positive working relationships. A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and treating every student with dignity and respect is essential.

You must hold a valid driving licence and a First Aid at Work certificate, or obtain certification before undertaking first aider duties - which King's are happy to support you in obtaining.

In return, we offer professional development opportunities, pension provision, a Trust-funded Employee Assistance Programme, optional Benenden Health membership and a Cycle to Work scheme. You will join a team committed to helping students feel cared for and able to make the most of their education.
