About this role
Are you an excellent teacher looking for your next opportunity?
At Fairford C of E Primary School, we are looking for an exceptional KS2 teacher who shares our ambition to provide children with the very best education.
This is more than a class teacher vacancy. It is an opportunity to join an Outstanding school (Ofsted November 2024), work alongside an experienced and supportive team and take an important leadership role in shaping English across our school.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection in November 2024 confirmed that Fairford had maintained the standards identified at its previous Outstanding inspection .Fairford was described as a “remarkable school” and recognised the strong sense of belonging experienced by our pupils.
We are immensely proud of our school, but we are also ambitious about what comes next. We are looking for a teacher who will bring expertise, enthusiasm and ideas and who wants to contribute to the next stage of Fairford’s development.
Why Fairford?
There is a very special culture at Fairford. Our November 2024 Ofsted inspection recognised a school in which pupils are proud to belong, behaviour is excellent and children work exceptionally hard.
Inspectors identified a palpable love of learning across the school and recognised that pupils’ knowledge develops exceptionally well. Our curriculum is highly ambitious, carefully planned from Nursery through to Year 6 and supported by professional development that enables teachers to deliver it with expertise.
Reading and language are particularly important to us. Children are immersed in a language-rich environment from Nursery onwards, vocabulary development is prioritised and pupils understand and celebrate the value of reading.
We have been recognised for the strength of our inclusive practice. Pupils who need additional support receive it quickly, and pupils with SEND flourish alongside their peers.
Education at Fairford is about much more than academic outcomes. Our children are encouraged to become articulate, confident and thoughtful young people. They take on leadership roles, participate in debates and mock trials, enjoy a wide range of clubs and enrichment opportunities and learn to contribute to their wider community.
