Location: Heathwood Lower School
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (Term Time Only)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM -9 AM (5 hours per week)
Salary: NJC Scale Point 3-4 Pro-rata term time only
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and energetic Breakfast Club Assistant to join our dedicated wraparound care team. You will help provide a safe, welcoming, and fun start to the day for our lower school pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and serving a healthy, balanced breakfast while adhering to dietary and allergy requirements.
Setting up and supervising engaging, age-appropriate play and quiet activities.
Encouraging positive behaviour, good manners, and social interaction among the children.
Ensuring high standards of health, safety, food hygiene, and cleanliness in the dining and play areas.
Safely handing over children to their class teachers at the start of the school day.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
A warm, patient, and approachable manner when working with young children (ages 4-9).
Previous experience working or volunteering in a school or childcare setting (desirable).
A good understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and food hygiene (training can be provided).
Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
Level 2 Childcare or Paediatric First Aid qualifications are an advantage, though a willingness to undertake training is acceptable.
