About the Role:

The White Horse Federation is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our IT Services Team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills, gain a recognised qualification, and work alongside experienced IT professionals supporting staff and pupils across our schools.

As an IT Support Apprentice, you will help provide first-line technical support, assist with the installation and maintenance of hardware and software, and contribute to projects that ensure our schools have reliable and effective technology systems.

This role is ideal for someone who has a strong interest in IT, enjoys problem-solving, and is keen to learn in a professional and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-line IT support to staff and students.

Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.

Support the setup and maintenance of laptops, desktops, tablets and other devices.

Help manage user accounts and permissions.

Maintain accurate IT asset and inventory records.

Assist with software installations, updates and system maintenance.

Support the IT team with ongoing projects and service improvements.

Ensure all work is carried out in line with Trust policies and data protection requirements

We are looking for someone who:

Has a genuine interest in Information Technology.

Is keen to learn and develop new technical skills.

Has good communication and customer service skills.

Can work well as part of a team.

Is organised, reliable and proactive.

Has GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or is willing to work towards achieving these qualifications if required).

Has basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer systems.
