About the role
As SENDCo at Lift Plumberow, you will lead and develop SEND provision across the school,ensuring pupils' needs are identified early and that the right support is in place to help every child access learning and achieve their potential.
You will work closely with teachers, support staff, families and external professionals to coordinate effective provision, support high quality inclusive teaching and ensure statutory SEND responsibilities are met. You will use assessment and pupil information to monitor the impact of support, drive improvements in provision and help colleagues develop their confidence and expertise in meeting a wide range of needs.

Key responsibilities
Lead and develop SEND provision across the school, ensuring it supports school priorities and an inclusive cultureEnsure pupils' additional needs are identified, assessed and supported effectivelyWork with teachers to strengthen inclusive classroom practice and ensure appropriate adaptations are madeCoordinate support plans, interventions and statutory processes, including EHCP assessments and annual reviewsBuild strong partnerships with parents, carers and external professionalsMonitor pupils' progress and outcomes, using data and evidence to evaluate and continually improve provisionMaintain accurate SEND records and oversee the school's SEND registerProvide advice, guidance and professional development to colleagues to build confidence and expertise in supporting pupils with SENDSupport the effective deployment of SEND resources and support staffWhat we're looking for
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO)Experience of working with pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilitiesExperience of coordinating SEND provision and supporting positive outcomes for pupilsExperience of working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents and external professionalsStrong knowledge and understanding of SEND legislation, including the SEND Code of Practice and statutory responsibilitiesAn understanding of effective inclusive teaching and approaches to supporting pupils with additional needsThe ability to analyse data, monitor progress and evaluate the impact of SEND provisionStrong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and statutory deadlinesThe ability to lead, influence and support colleagues to improve outcomes for pupils with SENDA passionate, resilient and solution-focused approach, with a strong commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusionAbout Lift Plumberow
