About the Role
Leeds City College are seeking a teacher to join our dynamic team in the Animal Care and Land Management department. In this role you will have the opportunity to deliver animal management lessons to students, as part of their programme of study.
The School of Animal Care and Land Management offers a wide range of study programmes, apprenticeships and Higher Education (HE). From September we will be delivering courses from entry to level 6. Whilst this role will predominantly be working with Further Education (FE) students we will require the successful candidate to demonstrate flexibility and be able to work with a variety of learners.
This role will be based at Temple Newsam but on occasion their might be the requirement to also work at other campuses such as Printworks or the University Centre. The successful candidate should like animals and be comfortable in a land-based real work environment.
Please note this position is part time and permanent. The pro rata salary is 19,149 with progression to 21,547.
What You Will Do

Qualified to degree level in a related subject.You will hold, or be working towards a recognised teaching qualification. Relevant up to date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the Further Education or school sectorEnglish and Maths at Level 2 or above.Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, a commitment to creating an inclusive, nurturing environment for students.You will apply restorative practice to your communications with students and colleagues and be a proactive, flexible and supportive member of the team.
