About this role
As Associate Behaviour Analyst, you will provide behavioural consultation and practical support in line with pupils’ Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will play a key role in developing effective behaviour support plans, monitoring progress and ensuring that evidence-informed approaches are implemented consistently across the school.Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting behavioural assessments, setting meaningful targets and developing individualised behaviour support plans.
Supporting staff through consultation, coaching and Behaviour Skills Training to strengthen their delivery of ABA-based teaching.
Promoting effective Verbal Behaviour teaching approaches, including pairing, mand training, Intensive Trial Teaching (ITT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET) and stimulus-response chaining.
Developing and reviewing data collection systems to monitor behaviour, learning and skill acquisition.
Preparing detailed reports and recommendations for Annual Reviews.
Working closely with teachers, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, mental health professionals, families and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Supporting the development and consistent implementation of a fully integrated Positive Behaviour Support approach.
Contributing to staff development, safeguarding and the wider vision and ethos of the Trust.
We are looking for a reflective, analytical and proactive professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for pupils with autism, learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge.You will have:
Postgraduate training in Applied Behaviour Analysis and/or Positive Behaviour Support.
BCBA or UK certification in good standing.
Experience delivering ABA/PBS-based provision to children and young people with additional needs.
Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
A clear understanding of ABA, Verbal Behaviour teaching methodologies and Positive Behaviour Support principles.
Experience supporting or training colleagues and developing effective teaching practices.
Strong analytical, clinical reasoning, problem-solving and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents and external professionals.
A flexible, reliable and reflective approach, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Experience supporting pupils who use signing and other Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems is important. Experience with the Behaviour Skills Training Model, Makaton, Team Teach and school-based systems such as CPOMS and Excel would also be advantageous.
