We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will will support the lead pharmacist to deliver Clinical Pharmacy in General Practice, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver medication optimisation initiatives and contribute to improving the quality of care for patients. The candidate will help patients to get the most from their medicines through effective medicines reconciliation, optimising use of electronic repeat dispensing, assurance of monitoring of high risk medication, audit and quality improvement schemes
Main duties of the job
Conduct medication reviews and medicines reconciliation to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues. Provide patient education and counselling on medication use, including but not limited to inhaler technique, side effects, and storage. Support medication adherence initiatives, such as dose administration aids and reminder systems. Participate in medication review clinics and other patient-centred activities. Support achievement of QOF Provide training and support to prescription clerks/administration staff Process prescriptions efficiently and accurately Contribute to the continuous improvement of pharmacy services within the practice and PCN. Stay informed about current best practices and developments in medicines optimisation.

Proven experience in a similar role or related field. Current GPhC registration. Strong knowledge of medical terminology . Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.Pay: £16.50-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27.5 32.5 per week
