About this role

Job summary As an Administrator with Practice Plus Group IUC, youll provide vital administrative support to the Surrey Out of Hours service, helping ensure the smooth and effective delivery of patient care. Working closely with operational teams and central service departments, youll play an important role in maintaining efficient processes, supporting communication across services and helping ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly. The role involves working with a range of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, managers and external partners. Youll help coordinate information, maintain accurate records and support activities that contribute to a seamless out of hours service. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering high-quality support and can effectively manage a varied workload. This is a 3 month fixed term contract.

Main duties of the job Maintain effective communication between operational staff, managers and supervisors. Support the Admin Lead with daily administrative and operational tasks. Assist with purchase orders, invoicing processes and supplier administration. Coordinate meetings, manage diaries and arrange appointments with internal and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate records and update information within relevant IT systems. Support recruitment administration and maintain training records and communications. Provide administrative support for projects, meetings and minute taking when required. Carry out general office administration, including telephone reception, filing, printing and scanning. Monitor office supplies and support the efficient running of the service. Assist with operational reporting and the timely processing of service documentation.

About us Maths and English qualifications with good general IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Substantial administrative experience in a busy working environment. Previous healthcare experience is desirable. Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise workloads, work under pressure and use initiative effectively. Good negotiation and relationship-building skills. Flexible approach to working hours and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
