Job summary
An exciting maternity cover opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our inpatient therapy team on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 9 months.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic clinician looking to further develop their specialist paediatric skills within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will work within our inpatient paediatric service, providing high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment to infants, children, and young people aged 0-19 years.
This varied caseload provides an exciting opportunity to develop and maintain advanced clinical expertise across a broad spectrum of paediatric specialities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive team, making a meaningful difference to the lives of children, young people, and their families.

Knowledge and skill requirements Essential
Highly specialist knowledge of acute paediatric respiratory and orthopaedic physiotherapy underpinned by theory and postgraduate courses A highly developed knowledge and ability to meet the standards and expected criteria for this therapy service Excellent interpersonal skills Leadership skills Supervisory skills Able to work within a team independently Ability to pass on skills and knowledge to others Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate Ability to lead change and is able to demonstrate implementation of new ways of working within a team Effective communication skills - oral and written Ability to keep accurate and legible patient records Able to provide and receive complex and /or sensitive information Remain updated with professional practice and new research Knowledge of clinical governance and its application to therapy Experience of Audit Ability to teach and pass on knowledge Experience of service evaluation and standard setting A broad understanding of the current local and national issues impacting on the Trust and service provision Modernisation Agenda for the NHS re new ways of working Excellent communication skills Computer literate with skill in using databases/spreadsheets and Powerpoint
