We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage
The Hospital: Cygnet Hospital Stevenage is mental health hospital consisting of six wards (male low and medium secure, two male PICUs, one female acute and one male acute). We achieved an overall Good rating following a CQC inspection.
Main duties of the job
Location: Cygnet Hospital Stevenage, Graveley Rd, Stevenage, SG1 4YS
Salary: £29,642 per year
Hours: Full Time, Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours, 8-4
Expected Start Date: ASAP

About us
The Role: We are currently looking to employ a full time Assistant Psychologist to join our Psychology Department at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage. The successful candidate will join a team comprised of qualified, trainee, assistant and psychologists and will work across PICU and/or Acute wards. The post holder will be working closely with and will be supervised weekly by a qualified psychologist, who will also be the post holders line manager. We are seeking a strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the team with;
Administering and reporting psychometric assessments/outcome measuresDeveloping clinical and risk formulationsSupporting with the development of Positive Behaviour Support and/or Safety PlansDeveloping and implementing care plans for psychological interventionsPlanning, delivering and evaluating individual/group treatment programmesAdministration, audit, research and service developmentContribute to the training and support of staff

Were looking for someone who is
Has completed a Degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited (i.e GBR) Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team Preferably Qualified to Masters degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)Why Cygnet?
