About this role

Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lewisham CAMHS as a Band 4 Senior Administrator and Referral Co-ordinator, playing a key role in the development and delivery of a new Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) service. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team from the outset, helping to establish the administrative systems, processes and pathways that will support children, young people and families receiving intensive community-based interventions. Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will be instrumental in coordinating referrals, supporting clinical activity, maintaining high-quality data systems and ensuring an excellent experience for families and partner agencies. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for managing referrals and waiting lists, maintaining patient records and data quality, arranging appointments and meetings, producing correspondence and minutes, and supporting the day-to-day administration of Lewisham CAMHS. The post holder will work closely with clinicians, service users and external agencies to ensure efficient service delivery, excellent patient experience and compliance with NHS standards and targets.

Job description Job responsibilities The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and referral coordination support to Lewisham CAMHS. Key responsibilities include managing incoming referrals, maintaining accurate patient records, monitoring waiting lists and operational data quality, arranging appointments and meetings, producing correspondence and reports, supporting multidisciplinary teams, liaising with service users and partner agencies, and contributing to service improvement initiatives. The role requires exceptional organisational skills, excellent communication, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of customer service and confidentiality.

Qualifications Essential

NVQ 3 in Business Administration; or equivalent administrative/secretarial experience GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English Language (grades A-C or grade 4 or above) and Mathematics (grades A-C or grade 4 or above)

RSA 3 secretarial qualification or equivalent qualification

Experience Essential

Significant experience in a responsible administrative / secretarial role Proven experience of office systems and procedures Experience of composing correspondence
