EXCITING NEW POST
We are delighted to introduce a new static Physiotherapist opportunity within the Vale Community Resource Service (VCRS), supporting individuals with specialist neurorehabilitation needs in their own homes. Based in the Vale of Glamorgan, this role offers a rewarding opportunity within a beautiful coastal setting and a supportive team environment.
This post strengthens community neuro services and enhances patient-centred care closer to home. The role involves providing physiotherapy assessment and intervention for patients with neurological conditions such as stroke (CVA), Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and other complex presentations. Working predominantly in patients' homes, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.
A key element of the role is developing neurorehabilitation expertise while supporting the wider team. You will help build confidence across VCRS in managing neurological patients through knowledge sharing, informal teaching, and contributing to workforce development.
Comprehensive training and development opportunities are available, including structured learning and support to develop advanced clinical skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated physiotherapist to grow clinically, contribute to service development, and make a meaningful difference within the community.
Main duties of the job
The Band 6 Community Neurological Physiotherapist role will focus on the assessment and treatment of patients within their own homes across the Vale of Glamorgan, delivering high-quality, patient-centred neurorehabilitation. The role requires excellent communication skills and advanced rehabilitation expertise to manage patients with complex neurological conditions. The post holder will provide specialist neurological input across the Vale of Glamorgan within VCRS, including supporting the wider team through in-service training, clinical supervision, and guidance on complex cases.
In addition to clinical duties, the role will contribute to the education and development of students and staff, as well as supporting ongoing service improvement initiatives and the continued development of the neurological pathway within VCRS across the Vale. The post holder will work closely as part of a multidisciplinary team and in partnership with integrated Local Authority colleagues across the Vale of Glamorgan to ensure coordinated, holistic care for patients.
