Job summary
Due to maternity leave, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to join our specialist service for people experiencing a first episode of psychosis as a Care Co-ordinator.
The post is fixed-term until October 2027, and the contract is for 22.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
To complete specialist assessments (PANSS) for referred service users accepted into the service when required. Training will be provided and all assessments are completed by 2 x staff members.
To have knowledge of, and contribute to the team adherence to the NHS England Access and Waiting Time Standards (Referral To Treatment) for EIP.
To hold and manage a caseload of service users who have been identified as experiencing their first episode of psychosis, including needs assessments, care planning and delivering psychosocial interventions.
To be aware of and adhere to responsibilities for people under CPA/CMHF, including offering/arranging carers support.

Job description Job responsibilities
The post-holder will manage a caseload of service users who have been assessed and accepted by the EIT team, indicating that they are experiencing a first episode of psychosis. Working in the MDT, the post-holder will be responsible for ensuring that all NICE guidelines for the treatment of psychosis are adhered to, and appropriate interventions are offered and delivered.

Qualifications Essential
Nursing (RMN, CPN), OR Social Work OR Occupational Therapy Registration with the regulatory body as applicable; NMC, HCPC, SWE
Desirable
Evidence of robust continued professional development including training in relevant subjects
Experience Essential
Demonstrable experience of working in the NHS in the community Experience of work within a multi-disciplinary team.
Desirable
Experience of working within a CMHT / EIS setting; managing a caseload of service users and completing assessments with people who have been referred into the service
