Community Brain Injury & Complex Neurological Therapy Service

What it takes We're looking for someone who is:

Passionate about rehabilitation and improving people's lives. Caring, compassionate and motivated to support recovery. A confident communicator with strong teamwork skills. Able to work independently, problem solve and manage their own workload. Experienced in a therapy, health, social care or rehabilitation setting. Flexible and enthusiastic about learning and developing specialist neurorehabilitation skills. Main duties of the job

Promote an enabling and person-centred approach, empowering individuals to make informed choices about their rehabilitation. Deliver and adapt specialist rehabilitation programmes for people with neurological conditions in community, clinic, home and group settings Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes/observations and provide feedback to the multidisciplinary team, identifying any changes in need. Provide education, advice and practical strategies to patients, families and carers to support ongoing recovery Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers and professionals, including those with cognitive, communication or behavioural difficulties. Assist with the maintenance of therapy equipment, resources and treatment environments. Maintain accurate clinical records, activity data, patient documentation and other administrative tasks associated with patient care. Contribute to service development, quality improvement, audits and governance activities. Support students, support workers and new staff through delegation, supervision and training. Participate in supervision, training and ongoing professional development, including completion of the AGORED Level 4 qualification where required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Knowledge Essential

Evidence of AGORED Level 3 qualification relevant to workplace OR other equivalent training, qualifications or experience PLUS Additional knowledge of neurological conditions /experience of working with patients with neurological conditions in a rehabilitation context Willingness to complete AGORED Level 4 qualification within a specified timescale after successful appointment Numerate and literate to the level of GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) I.T skills with basic knowledge and application of Microsoft Office applications

Advanced IT skills Evidence of role-related CPD activities Knowledge of Health Board priorities and practices Knowledge of a range of rehabilitation interventions across all therapies
