Up to £ 41,729 per annum - 37.5 hours per week - Hybrid
As a trusted partner you will provide strategic guidance, challenge thinking, and act as a valued critical friend across areas such as Retail, Clinical and Support. Helping leaders navigate complex people matters while driving high performance and positive employee experiences.
Working as part of a team you will lead and support a range of people-focused projects and initiatives, influencing business decisions on all aspects of the employee lifecycle and helping to deliver a high performing service through effective people strategies and operational tasks.
Main duties of the job
Act as the dedicated People Partner to a defined business area, building strong and effective working
relationships with managers and leaders
Provide strategic HR advice, guidance and challenge on a broad range of people matters
Coach and support managers to strengthen leadership effectiveness and people management skills
Lead and deliver HR projects and change initiatives that support organisational priorities
Support talent management, succession planning and employee development activities
Drive recruitment strategies to attract, retain and develop high-quality talent
Use people data and insights to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
Champion best practice people management and ensure compliance with employment legislation
and organisational policies
Payroll and pension administration working closely with our third-party payroll provider

Job Purpose
To support the Director of People Services in the provision of a professional and efficient HR service in line with legislation and Weldmars strategic plans and operational priorities. To provide focussed and professional HR advice working closely with managers to ensure effective people management that supports high quality service delivery. To coach, support and advise business areas on all aspects of Employee Relations, including Disciplinary and Grievance, Mediation and conflict resolution, Capability and absence management. Participate in key strategic projects providing project management and technical HR expertise. Facilitate and support on driving a culture of a 'great place to work', including contributing to the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Agenda. Suggest, apply and embed best practice principles and HR interventions, in line with operational goals, utilising MI and key performance metrics to inform and measure impact. Facilitate initiatives to attract, develop, engage and retain talent in line with the needs of specific business areas. Partner with leaders to ensure appropriate plans are in place to create talent pipelines, succession planning and to attract high calibre candidates. Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Proven track record in HR, including; CIPD Level 5 Associate Membership in People Management or equivalent working experience Specialist knowledge of HR practices such as recruitment, selection, organsational design, development, succession planning and employee relations. Up to date Employment Law and best practice knowledge Excellent knowledge of best practice and employment policies and ability to advise managers and staff accordingly Excellent knowledge of effective line management and leadership to provide coaching to line managers
Experience Essential
Experience of HR advisory and case management including investigations, mediation, capability and multistrand casework. Experience of leading and implementing people change. Experience of developing policy and ensuring legislative compliance Experience in developing people-focused interventions that support performance management, talent, leadership, capability, workforce planning, recruitment, behavioural and cultural change. Experience of supporting Learning and Development initiatives. Experience of working with Clinical/NHS contracts and benefits would be an advantage.

Excellent influencing, motivating and negotiating skills, including ability to provide advice, guidance and emotional support to a diverse group of managers and staff in relation to sensitive and complex HR issues Excellent analytical skills in order to respond to give advice on complex HR problems Partnering, supporting and being a critical friend to business leaders in all aspects of people matters, including people strategies, inclusion, talent, capacity and capability and recruitment Excellent people management skills, and commitment to staff development Good planning and organising skills, including ability to manage a large workload and prioritise effectively ensuring deadlines are met An ability to concentrate throughout various interruptions and high levels of accuracy and attention to detail Respect for professional boundaries and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
