Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 6 Senior Audiologist role within Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust working across our sites. The successful applicant will be an integral part of our friendly Audiology team.
The Audiology department at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services for children and adults with hearing and balance disorders.
Main duties of the job
This job will involve carrying out routine and complex work in the Audiology department and outstations across all trust sites. The role will include work in both the Adult and Paediatric Service.
There will be requirement for the applicant to expand into complex work which may include tinnitus support for adults, Tier 2 Paediatric Service work conducting paediatric hearing assessment clinics or assist level work in the Tier 3 Paediatric Service.
The role would also include the continuation of existing work within the Adult service,providingsupport to ENT and direct access clinics carrying out routine hearing tests and rehabilitation.
Applications are welcomed from experienced Audiologists, ideally those who have previously worked in an NHS setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a caring individual with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to utilise and further develop their expertise in audiological care.
The ability to work as part of a team or independently is essential, as is being able to manage a busy and varied workload.
