Specialising in Plastic Surgery, our ward works closely with the Burns Unit, supporting patients throughout their recovery journey and facilitating a smooth transition from specialist care through to discharge.

Main duties of the job
Supports RN in assessment of patient Performs clinical baseline observations Orientates patient and relatives to the unit/ward environment Follows plan of care, reports any changes in the patient's condition Contributes with suggestions and ideas for action Reports results of any intervention Records and documents episodes of care in accordance with guidelines Effective communication is maintained with MDT, patient, relatives and visitors. Transfers patients to and from the procedure rooms/trolley bay and the wards (if required) Following Infection control policy prepares equipment and procedure room/trolley bay for patients' pre and post-surgery.

The academy models a 'one workforce' cross system approach to the onboarding, induction, education, and experience of Healthcare Assistants.
Successful candidates to this role will be able to access the additional support provided by the HCA Academy following their induction with MSEFT. This includes development opportunities, pastoral support, staff rewards and access to HCA exclusive resources such as HCA App.
