We are seeking to appoint candidates to the following posts within the Community & Specialist Services Care Group, across the leadership clusters listed below:
IDD Services Leadership Cluster, within the Specialist Services Care Unit.
These roles will play a key part in shaping and delivering high-quality services within our newly established leadership arrangements.
Main duties of the job
The Head of Patient Safety, Quality & Experience will provide senior leadership and oversight for the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care across specified Services. Head of Patient Safety, Quality & Experience will ensure that governance systems are robust, that learning from incidents, complaints and feedback is embedded, and that a culture of continuous improvement, openness and just culture is promoted.
A critical component of this role is the implementation, oversight and sustainability of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF). The post-holder will ensure PSIRF principles are embedded in everyday practice across the Service, supporting system-wide learning and improvement rather than blame, and ensuring timely, proportionate, and effective incident responses.
Working in partnership with the Head of Operations, the post-holder will be jointly responsible for ensuring Services are safe, effective, and of high quality on a day-to-day basis. They will provide professional advice, leadership and constructive challenge to the Senior Leadership Team, Wider Leadership Team and Clinical & Operational Leadership Team regarding patient safety, quality and experience.

The successful candidate will have specialist knowledge, skills and experiencing in providing healthcare to patients in their service and speciality as well as being able to demonstrate competence in expert knowledge base, complex decision-making, skills, and competences for clinical practice.
The specific characteristics of the role are shaped by the clinical context, profession, scope of practice and/or qualifications. The individual will be qualified and have extensive experience in accordance with the requirements for the specific speciality, as set out by the appropriate regulating body (e.g., The Health & Care Professions Council). Qualifications Essential
Registered practitioner in a relevant profession aligned to the specialism of the Service. Master's Level or equivalent experience within the public or private sector, including the NHS, Social Care, Local Government and the Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise Sector. Completed a relevant managerial qualification at Level 6 or above (e.g., degree-level, or equivalent professional qualification) and/or equivalent experience.
