About this role

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse Associate to join to The Willow Group, a forward thinking and innovative GP group providing primary care services for 49,000 patients over 5 local sites in Gosport.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and motivated Nursing Associate with strong clinical, organisational, and communication skills. The post holder will work within their scope of practice to deliver high-quality patient care, manage appropriate clinics, and support health promotion, long-term condition management, and preventative care.

Working closely with the practice team and wider primary care services, they will contribute to improving patient access, service delivery, and the overall patient experience.

Main duties of the job

The role of the nursing associate is to work within the Nursing and Midwifery Council scope of practice and fulfil the 6 Platforms. Being an accountable professional Promoting Health and preventing ill health. Provide and monitor care. Working in teams. Improving safety and quality of care. Contributing to integrated care.

Qualifications Essential

Nursing associate registered

Experience Essential

Demonstrate knowledge of the scope of practice of the Nursing Associate role, be accountable for own professional decisions and actions at all times, demonstrating the ability to seek further guidance appropriately Identify personal development needs that ensure acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competency to undertake the care and treatment responsibilities assigned Carry out Continuing Professional Development by seeking to develop and improve practical and theoretical knowledge, competence, and skills Maintaining Nursing & Midwifery Council registration by adhering to all requirements regarding Standards, Proficiencies, and the revalidation process. Develop skills in providing instruction, learning opportunities, work experience and training staff Is proactive in seeking opportunities to develop own knowledge and skills. To participate in self-appraisal and performance reviews. Completes personal objectives and required competencies within agreed timeframes. Seeks support / guidance in timely manner if any difficulties are encountered The post holder may, with their agreement, which should not reasonably be withheld, be required to undertake other duties as required, which fall within the grading of this post, to meet the needs of this new and developing service. Individuals who are required to hold a professional registration in order to practice must continue to be a member of their professional body throughout the lifespan of this job description. Such individuals will be required to notify the Trust immediately if their professional body limits or changes the terms of their registration. This job description will be reviewed yearly as part of the annual individual performance review, to ensure that it reflects the responsibilities of the post.
