Are you passionate about supporting the mental health of children and young people? This flexible Care Support Worker role with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference within Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
Working as part of the NHS Professionals Bank, youll provide compassionate, person-centred care in an inpatient setting, supporting children and adolescents with a range of mental health needs. Youll play a key role in creating a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to promote dignity, wellbeing and recovery.
Main duties of the job
Deliver holistic, highquality mental health care Promote dignity, privacy and safeguarding at all times Support patient admissions and orientation to the ward Assist with daily living activities, personal care and emotional support Contribute to and work within individual care plans Support mealtimes, nutrition and hydration Carry out escort duties and therapeutic engagement Help maintain a safe, clean and structured inpatient environment Work collaboratively with nurses, clinicians and the wider care team

Experience in a childrens inpatient ward or mental health service A vocational qualification related to mental health care Experience providing care in a personal or professional setting Experience working within a multidisciplinary clinical teamOR
Student Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of 12 weeks clinical placement experience in CAMHS wardsThis role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, meaningful work within CAMHS. It offers valuable clinical experience, ongoing development opportunities and the chance to make a genuine difference to the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.

Qualifications Essential
6 Months Experience within 2 years working on CAMHS wards and Vocational Qualification level 2 in Care Or Current student mental health nurse with 12 weeks placements on CAMHS wards
Desirable
Qualified to NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care

6 Months Experience within 2 years working on CAMHS wards

Driving Licence
