About this role

Job summary

We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who shares our professional values and behaviours and has the energy, skills and enthusiasm to contribute to making Middlewood the place to be for world class care, helping our population to live well. As a healthcare assistant you will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.You will work under the direct supervision of the Practice Nurses and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

HCA Care Certificate or Equivalent Experience Appropriate Qualifications/Diplomas/Certificates for any declared special interests A demonstrable commitment to development

Experience Essential

Experience within a health care setting Experience of dealing with the public/patients

Desirable

Experience in Primary Care Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients Confident with IT Experience of using EMIS web

Knowledge and Skills Essential

Competent in duties required for the post, including ECG, NHS Health Check, Vaccinations, Diabetic Foot checks, BP check/ BP monitoring, Height/weight monitoring, New patient health checks, Wound Care Management, Community based referrals and health promotion strategies and working with patients with long term condition such as diabetes. Ability to provide quality care
