Assistant, Benefits - CR
Job Description: Provide administrative and operational support for the Benefits function, ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of employee benefit programs. Responsible for managing processes related to the onsite medical clinic, life insurance, medical insurance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), educational reimbursement, and other company-sponsored benefits. Job duties: • Provide administrative support for the day-to-day management of employee benefits programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely service delivery. • Coordinate activities related to the onsite medical clinic, including employee communications, record maintenance, wellbeing campaigns and vendor support. • Support the administration of life insurance and medical insurance programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, beneficiary updates, and employee inquiries. • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefit-related questions and provide guidance on available programs and eligibility requirements. • Support the administration and promotion of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), ensuring employees are informed about available resources and services. • Manage the Educational Reimbursement Program, including application reviews, documentation tracking, reimbursement processing, and employee communications. • Maintain accurate employee benefits records and ensure all transactions are properly documented in HR systems and files. • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve benefits issues and ensure positive employee experience. • Assist with benefits enrollment activities, open enrollment periods, and communication campaigns related to employee benefits programs. • Prepare reports, metrics, and audits related to benefits administration to support compliance. • Monitor benefits program documentation and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. • Support employee wellness, recognition, and other company-sponsored benefit initiatives as assigned. • Assist in the development and distribution of benefits communication materials, presentations, and educational resources. • Identify opportunities to improve benefits processes, employee service, and operational efficiency. • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization. • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: • Student of Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field. • Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of benefits administration experience. • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and Teams). • Previous customer service and/or administrative support experience. • Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. • Strong proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative. • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing activities and documentation. • Written and verbal English proficiency (B2 – C1). Desired Qualifications • One (1) to two (2) years of experience supporting benefits functions. • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong, credible, and lasting relationships with internal and external customers, key business partners. • Ability to work under pressure.
