Warehouse Specialist
Job Description: Located just outside the City of Richmond, in Henrico County, this position supports the logistics operations of Haberdasher Corporate Apparel by handling deliveries and shipments. This position makes deliveries in Central Virginia primarily in downtown Richmond and vicinity, with twice-a-month deliveries to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Duties: • Deliveries: Pack truck and make deliveries to customers, ensuring truck is adequately fueled and tracking any maintenance or service needs. Work with receiving customers, identifying correct delivery location and staff. Collect signatures for delivery documentation. • Shipping: Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools and postage meter. Record shipment data, such as box dimensions, weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
Required Experience: Experience working in a warehouse and packing trucks.
Experience driving trucks, vans and delivery vehicles, mapping destinations, finding the most efficient route to all delivery points.
Experience lifting boxes up to 50 lbs.
Experience with UPS and USPS processes and systems.
Experience keeping track of multiple orders.
Experience with Microsoft Windows, Google Sheets.
Experience with customer service.
Preferred Experience: Experience with Ford Transit Connect vehicles.
Experience with direct customer interaction.
Experience lifting boxes up to 65 lbs.
Required Skills: Attention to detail.
Sense of urgency to getting tasks done in a timely manner.
Good math skills.
Excellent communication skills - verbally and in writing.
Safe driving record.

Mechanical aptitude.
