What you’ll do

As Senior Practice Tutor for the Pg Dip Senior Wellbeing Practitioner programme, you will support programme delivery and development, helping trainees strengthen their clinical skills through teaching, practice-based learning, assessment and academic support.

Support Year 1 teaching, particularly practical and skills-based workshops. Facilitate small-group sessions focused on developing clinical skills through discussion and case material. Mark assignments in line with UCL requirements and participate in assessment calibration. Provide academic tutoring, respond to trainee queries and monitor progress. Work with the Programme Director, Course Tutors and wider team to maintain and develop programme quality.

What you’ll bring

You will be an experienced mental health professional with strong clinical expertise working with children, young people and families, alongside experience of teaching, supervision and supporting learners.

A recognised qualification in a core mental health profession, with clinical training in evidence-based therapies for children and young people. Extensive experience using CBT-informed approaches with children, young people and families, including neurodivergent young people. Experience providing group supervision or reflective spaces for professionals working in children and young people’s mental health services. Experience teaching or training adults and assessing coursework. Ability to work flexibly within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.

Key details

Hours: 7 hours per week. Must be available Thursdays during term-time.

Salary: £53,570 FTE per annum, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.

Location: Hybrid – at least 20% onsite at 4–8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.

Contract: Fixed Term contract – 12 months
