Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateApplies the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibilityDemonstrates and promotes the company visionDemonstrates strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaborationProactively plans and multitasks to maximize productivityMeets all quality and productivity metrics and demonstrates strong teamwork and collaborationRegular attendance and punctualityApplies 17025 compliance standards in all areas of responsibility, as appropriatePerforms routine sample preparation and analyses in support of product assessment and quality control on products utilizing one or more analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, ICP, mass spectrometry, smoking machines, or other special purpose equipment and/or multiple wet chemistry and physical techniques.)Performs preparation of samples for testing by weighing, for examplePerforms sample preparation on tobacco products using wet chemistry techniques; provides support to analytical chemistsOperates simple lab equipmentAccurately documents results in notebooks and laboratory LIMS, in compliance with good documentation practicesPerforms instrument calibration and recognizes errorsAdheres to highest quality standards; ensures compliance with quality system requirementsCommunicates effectively with client staff members and co-workers High School Diploma minimum is requiredAt least one year related laboratory or quality control experience; familiarity with standard lab concepts, practices, and proceduresWet lab experienceMaking solutions, weighing, following work instructionsLaboratory experienceStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written)Attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Position is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00PM. Overtime as needed.
