About this role
As a Senior Information Security Operator Level 2 Crew Leader, you will ensure that the SOC L2 crew provides security monitoring and is reacting timely to security events as identified. The role requires a mix of technical and management skills.
Specific Assignments:
• The main responsibilities of a Senior Information Security Operator and Crew coordinator:
• Providing technical support and expertise to members of SOC L2 crew
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management
• Creating process documentation
• Creating shift schedule
• Responding to questions and escalations from other crews
• Reviewing work and providing feedback to underlings
• Participating in interviews for potential employees Other Assignments:
• Support L1 & L2 colleagues as required
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s college degree and/or IT/Systems/Computers technical certification.
• Monitoring and analysis of cybersecurity tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus and endpoint detection & response solutions.
• Experience with execution of standard SOC procedures.
• Experience with triage security events and incidents, detect anomalies, and report remediation actions.
• Experience with analysis of phishing emails reported by internal end users.
• Keen on further developing oneself in the information security world and the security operations.
• Working knowledge of security.
• Ability to communicate technical details effectively in writing and verbally
