About the Role We are seeking a Quality Inspector Lead (ITA) to support inspection operations at our Fairfax, KS manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing inspection workflow, supporting quality initiatives, monitoring inspector performance, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements and quality standards. The position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, driving continuous improvement, and supporting Project Coordinators through coaching and operational oversight, with a clear path toward advancement into higher-level roles.

Responsibilities

Monitor inspection team workflow to ensure compliance with customer-specific quality standardsEvaluate inspector performance and provide feedback to Project CoordinatorsSupport quality planning, assembly, and inspection processesEnsure proper control, documentation, and segregation of non-conforming and scrap materialsCoordinate with logistics to maintain accurate material flow and inventory controlPerform scrap analysis and reportingAssist with Layered Process Audits (LPA)Support calibration verification and inspection equipment controlMaintain accurate inspection records in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirementsParticipate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activitiesSupport document control and continuous improvement initiativesParticipate in internal quality auditsPreferred Qualifications

Technical training in manufacturing or quality systemsQMS, ISO, or AS9102 certification is a plusRequirements

Minimum 2–3 years of leadership experience in any industry (does not need to be manufacturing or quality-specific)Minimum 2–3 years of manufacturing or plant experience preferred, but not requiredPrior quality, assembly, construction, or similar heavy-duty work experienceExperience using precision inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, or height gaugesMechanical or power tool familiarity is a plusStrong understanding of quality inspection principles, calibration, and measurement techniquesExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reportingAbility to read and write in English to follow safety signage and complete documentationAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsComfortable working in an indoor/outdoor manufacturing environment, including exposure to heat and coldReliable transportationAbility to work overtime, including weekends, as needed

Pay & GrowthStarting pay: $18/hourClear advancement path toward Project Coordinator roles as production needs grow
