The RoleAs a Software Developer on the Asteris team, you will help build and evolve Keystone, our PACS platform for veterinary imaging. You will work on features that store, transfer, render, and share diagnostic images, and help deliver the reliability, performance, and integrations our clients rely on every day.

What You'll DoDesign, build, and maintain features across the Keystone PACS platformWork with DICOM data and imaging workflows, including storage, transfer, viewing, and reportingBuild and support integrations with imaging modalities and practice management systemsDesign services with a strong focus on high availability, scalability, performance, and observabilityTake end-to-end ownership of the quality, testing, and production readiness of what you buildWrite clean, well-documented code and take part in code and design reviewsBuild prototypes and proofs of concept to evaluate new technologiesWork with the Support team to identify and fix performance, scalability, and production issuesCollaborate with Product and Support to translate client needs into solutionsRequirements

What You Bring3+ years of professional software development experienceHands-on experience with medical imaging, PACS, and the DICOM standardStrong skills in a modern object-oriented language, such as C# / .NET or C++Experience with relational databases and SQLSolid understanding of networking and client/server architectureStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote teamNice to HaveExperience with HL7 or healthcare integrationsExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and image storage at scaleExperience with 3D rendering or advanced image viewersBenefits
