About this role
We are seeking a strong expertise in Android application ecosystems to bridge business requirements and technical delivery. The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of modern Android development practices (MVVM, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flows) and the ability to translate functional needs into scalable solutions. Experience in video streaming or media platforms is preferred, especially in playback workflows or OTT environments. Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin . Understand and work with the Android app lifecycle , activities, fragments, and common Android components. Work with basic Android architecture patterns such as MVVM and follow established coding practices. Develop UI using XML and/or Jetpack Compose . Understand and implement UI state management and basic component behaviour. Work with Kotlin Coroutines and basic Flow concepts for asynchronous operations. Work with dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger . Integrate Android applications with REST APIs and JSON . Read and understand existing Kotlin/Java code and troubleshoot basic issues. Debug application crashes, logs, and common performance issues. Work with Git for source control and follow standard development workflows. Participate in code reviews, testing, bug fixing, and release activities. Collaborate with product, design, QA, and backend teams.
