About this role
The Project Director is responsible for the successful performance of multiple projects and project teams in the Phoenix market — leading project delivery, client relationships, business performance, and talent development across an active portfolio. This is a senior leadership role based in the field, working from the jobsite trailer and moving between meetings with clients, consultants, and project teams rather than a desk in a corporate office. The Project Director develops future operational leaders, supports key pursuits and preconstruction efforts, and plays a central role in the long-term success of projects, clients, and the organization. This role reports to the Project Executive, Vice President of Operations, or other assigned supervisor, and works closely with clients, consultants, trade partners, project teams, and company leadership. Provide leadership and oversight across multiple projects to drive safety, quality, schedule, financial, and client satisfaction outcomes. Support project teams in resolving complex project, operational, contractual, staffing, and risk-related challenges. Monitor project performance and guide teams to improve outcomes, profitability, and client satisfaction. Develop and maintain strategic client, consultant, and industry relationships; serve as a senior company representative on key accounts. Mentor and develop Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and other project team members; support recruiting, performance management, and succession planning. Lead and guide major project pursuits and preconstruction activities, including execution planning, staffing strategy, procurement strategy, and risk assessment. Evaluate project, staffing, and operational decisions through the lens of company profitability, risk, reputation, and long-term business objectives. Represent the company within industry associations, professional organizations, and community
