The Warehouse Lead position is responsible for coordinating and executing all shipping and receiving activities as directed by Warehouse Supervisor. Responsible for ensuring safety, quality and productivity objectives are met. • Ensure efficient and timely start-up of daily warehouse operations in absence of warehouse supervisor. • Coordinate the loading and unloading of outbound and inbound shipments. • Ensure orders are picked in a timely manner by ready ship date. • Serve as the direct contact to shipping and receiving clerk. • Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor regarding product rotation and space allocation. Ensure first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation is followed. • Communicate any shortages and damages of product. • Assist in training of new and existing employees to minimize downtime and product damage. • Maintain radio communication with other team members for loading and unloading efficiency. • Accurately complete required paperwork. • Operates a gas or electric forklift in warehouse. • Operates Track Mobile in the Rail yard. • Performs daily forklift inspections while adhering to established safety procedures. • Loads shipments into trailer(s). • Maintains clean and organized aisles or racks storage, consolidates partial pallets when needed. • Ensure proper placement of rail car(s) by unloading priority. • Communicates with management personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs on equipment and facility. • Works in partner with Operations Support Specialist in the execution of Cycle Count program. • Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area. • Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
